As a newly educated Massage Therapist (2013) I had the opportunity to work in a high paced spa, treating 4-6 clients a day. Not only was I held accountable for my clients satisfaction but for their continued health and well being. I found the most success customizing every single treatment by keeping an open line of communication, and detailing a plan for continuing massage work/lifestyle changes/strength training/at home stretches.
The most rewarding experience I have had as a massage therapist is hearing “how much better” clients pains are, how much further a client can stretch, turn their head without pain, or sneeze without throwing out their back. As years progressed my return clientele would share my methods of treatment with their friends and family. Some would come in and get treatment others would adopt a stretch and feel a world of difference.
